Just the fact that eg. undefined indexes are now warnings instead of notices is a terrible decision - they could at least have made it an option. If you really rely on these warnings to not make lots of mistakes, then I strongly question you ability as a programmer.

(I know warnings can be suppressed but then you are also suppressing other warnings you might actually want to see).]]></description>
